How to Enable Cookies in Google Chrome: Browser, Android & iOS

Cookies are essential for many web functionalities, such as logging in, maintaining sessions, and personalizing user experiences. Here’s how you can enable cookies in Google Chrome on various platforms.

Enable Cookies For Google Chrome on Mac:

  1. Click on ‘Chrome‘ in the menu at the top of your screen, then select ‘Preferences‘. Alternatively, you can press Command + , on your keyboard.
    Or, you can open the browser, look at the right top corner, click on the three vertical dots, a menu will drop down, and near the bottom, you will find ‘Settings‘.
  2. Scroll down to the ‘Privacy and security‘ section and click on ‘Site Settings’.

  2. Scroll down and select ‘Privacy and security’, then click on ‘Site Settings’.
  3. Click on ‘Cookies and site data’.
  4. Choose ‘Allow all cookies‘ for full functionality. As an alternative for enhanced privacy while still allowing necessary cookies, you can choose ‘Block third-party cookies in Incognito’ or ‘Block third-party cookies’.

Enabling Cookies Google Chrome on Android:

  • Open the Chrome app. Tap the three dots in the upper right corner to access the menu, then tap ‘Settings‘.
  • Scroll down to ‘Site settings‘ and tap ‘Cookies‘.
  • You can enable cookies by selecting ‘Allow all cookies‘. You can also choose to block third-party cookies in Incognito mode or in all modes by adjusting the settings accordingly.

Enabling Cookies Google Chrome on iOS:

  • Open the Chrome app. Tap the three dots at the bottom right to access the menu, then tap ‘Settings‘.
  • Tap ‘Content Settings‘, then tap ‘Block Cookies’.
  • Choose ‘Allow from Websites I Visit‘ or ‘Always Allow‘ to enable cookies. For more restrictive settings, select ‘Allow from Current Website Only‘ or ‘Block All Cookies‘.
