AdLock’s payments are managed by PayPro Global. While we could not find any instructions to cancel our subscription anywhere on AdLock’s website, we found the link to PayPro Global from the invoice and licence key sent to us when we first subscribed. Here is how to cancel AdLock.

  2. If you have already claimed your account, then log in. Otherwise, reset your account
  3. Once logged in, navigate to the subscription tab on the left-hand side

  5. When prompted, choose a reason for cancellation and hit “Submit”
  6. Hit “Close” and you’re done

How To Get A Refund For AdLock?

Unlike many other ad blockers that offer up to a 60-day money-back guarantee, AdLock only offers a refund within 30 days from the date of purchase. The 30-day money-back is applicable for both subscription services and one-time purchases. To request a refund, you can contact AdLock directly via email at support@adlock.com or reach out to PayPro Global’s customer support at https://payproglobal.com/customer-support and submit a ticket. Once your request is submitted, AdLock will review it and contact you via email to see if it has been approved or rejected. If your refund is approved, it will be processed using your original method of payment.

How Much Does AdLock Cost?

Before you go ahead and decide to purchase an AdLock subscription, you should know that the browser extension of AdLock is completely free and subscribing won’t affect anything there. The subscription is only if you plan on using the AdLock app. And before you get to that, you can actually opt for a 14-day trial just by installing the AdLock app, no credit card information is required. Now to the main part, the pricing.

AdLock costs $3.5 a month. You will be billed every month and this will allow you to use the app on up to 5 devices. However, if you want to commit to a long-term plan, you can opt for the 12-month or the 5-year plan. At $33.6, the monthly average of the 12-month plan comes down to $2.8 and the 5-year plan costs $63, which comes down to $1.05 a month. Now while the 5-year plan looks very cheap and affordable, you should first try the ad blocker for long enough, before committing for that long. Take advantage of the 14-day free trial and the 30-day money-back guarantee if needed.

Before You Cancel AdLock

Once you cancel your AdLock subscription, you will lose certain functionalities. And then there’s a chance you may have been overcharged or simply did not like the service. Either way, here are a few things you should know before you cancel your AdLock subscription.

1. You Will Get Back to the Free Tier

The AdLock Premium subscription is for the app that offers system-wide protection. This subscription does not affect the AdLock browser extension. However, this does mean you will lose features like Secure Surfing and Safe Browsing. But for ad blocking, the free browser extension of AdLock is better than nothing. But at the same time, AdLock has started to lose support on Chrome for many users due to its lack of MV3 compliance. So you may need to switch to a different ad blocker if you’re on Chrome. We recommend Total Adblock or AdGuard.

2. You Should Cancel Ahead of Time

To avoid any automatic charges, make sure to cancel before your subscription’s final day. This way, if something doesn’t go as planned, you’ll have extra time to sort it out or get in touch with support. Plus, cancelling in advance won’t cut off your access. You’ll still have the full subscription period unless you request a refund.

3. You Are Entitled To A Refund

AdLock offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. But as this is a licence-based subscription, there a many resellers who offer these licences. You should keep in mind that you have a lower chance of getting a refund if you purchase your AdLock licence from anywhere other than the official AdLock website. To get a refund, you need to submit a request to AdLock or PayPro Global’s customer support within 30 days of your purchase.

Wrapping Up

While trying to cancel our AdLock subscription, we faced some difficulties as there were no clear instructions on their website on how to cancel the plan. However, the overall cancellation process was fairly easy, and unlike other ad blockers where there are multiple ways of cancelling the subscription based on the payment method, AdLock uses only one process. It’s quick and easy. Moreover, we got multiple reminders about our recurring payments, over email. This is a nice touch as it means they are transparent and they are doing everything on their part to avoid unintentional charges.

AdLock is a great ad blocker that provides a comprehensive solution, and we recommend it. But if you find yourself not enjoying it, there are other ad blockers like AdGuard, AdBlock, Ghostery, and uBlock Origin. These may be more suitable for you.
